13th of July 2008 College Station, TX
After a few weeks of waiting and last minute packing of my luggage, I was ready and excited to embark on this journey. My fellow kindhearted G-camper, Efren Rodriguez, coming from Weslaco, drove to San Antonio and we travelled together all the way to College Station. Thanks a million Efren for the ride!
We arrived at the Holiday Inn and Suites around 4 PM. Our organizers from Texas A & M University met us, have us accomplished a few paperworks, and gave us a box of roadside maps (for Texas, New Mexico and Colorado), books and other important materials needed for this adventure. Then, we met other G-Camp participants. We checked in our rooms for the night as we look forward to this experience.
